COVID-19 Update: Dear students and families, in light of current COVID-19 pandemic, the University plans to hold Spring and Summer term classes online only. As a result, in an effort to put everyone’s health, safety, and well-being first, all in-person K-12 programs have been canceled for this summer. We look forward to serving you in the future. Feel free to visit the University’s website for other U-M COVID-19 updates.

Diversity provides a learning environment that is rich in perspectives. In today’s global economy, it is essential for students to be exposed to and gain appreciation for individual perspectives derived from varying cultural, gender, and socio-economic backgrounds. It is the goal of our diversity programs to increase the engineering workforce of the State of Michigan and the United States by increasing the number of successful, diverse engineering graduates, primarily from the University of Michigan, but also from other schools in the state.

CEDO has three objectives: access, achievement, and inclusion

Provide K-12 outreach and pipeline development programs

Develop initiatives and programs designed to help Michigan Engineering students excel academically, culturally, personally and professionally

Inclusion Promote and steward multicultural engagement throughout the college fostering a sense of belonging for every individual
