Program Partners

Engineering OnRamp partners with University Departments, local non-profits, and national organizations to provide K-12 programs year round. Click below to learn more about each of our program partners and the programs we host with them.

 

AI4ALL

AI4ALL (Artificial Intelligence for All) is a US-based nonprofit dedicated to increasing diversity and inclusion in AI education, research, development, and policy.

Engineering OnRamp collaborates with AI4All to host a rigorous and supportive 2 week summer program that serves as an entry point for computer science focused on artificial intelligence and machine learning for current 9th and 10th-grade Michigan residents.

 

 

 

 

DAPCEP

Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) is a nonprofit organization with more than 40 years of experience partnering with universities, training programs, and K-12 school systems in order to connect youth to the best science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) educational experiences in Michigan and beyond.

Engineering OnRamp partners with DAPCEP to host DAPCEP MEEP during the fall and winter semesters, DAPCEP Spring during the winter semester, and Galaxy Program, a week long summer program.

Computer Science & Engineering Department

Engineering OnRamp Partners with the lab of Dr. David Fouhey in the Computer Science & Engineering Department whose work focuses on computer vision and machine learning. Dr. Fouhey, along with a group of graduate students, works with us on our AI4ALL summer program, teaching 9th and 10th grade Michigan residents about artificial intelligence.

 

 

 

SMASH

SMASH empowers dedicated students of color with an intensive science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education, culturally-relevant coursework and access to resources and social capital that allow them to be successful in college and in their careers.

Engineering OnRamp partners with SMASH to host a SMASH Academy, their flagship, 3 year, intensive STEM focused residential college prep program that empowers students to deepen their talents and pursue STEM careers.

 

Wolverine Pathways

The University of Michigan Wolverine Pathways program is a free, year-round program that partners with the families, schools, and communities of Detroit, Southfield, and Ypsilanti. This partnership provides learning experiences that will help students succeed in school, college and future careers.

Engineering OnRamp partners with Wolverine Pathways on year round workshops and Engineering Pathways, a 2 week summer program that provides an opportunity for Wolverine Pathways Scholars to explore engineering as a profession.
